Periodontics is one of the dental specialities recognized by the American Dental Association. It is an entire branch of dentistry dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the gum tissue, surrounding tissue and the bone surrounding teeth and dental implants. It also involves the maintenance of the teeth, function and esthetics of these structures, tissues and dental implants.

Dr. Rastogi is a dental specialist in periodontics and in the placement of dental implants. She has completed four years of dental school and three additional years of post-graduate education in Periodontology. She has also taken the requisite oral and written examinations to qualify her to be a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a distinction that very few periodontists have achieved.
